Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 24, 2026
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account details (name, email address, password)
- Billing address and contact details you provide when requesting a paid plan — automated card payments aren't enabled yet, so these are used by our team to arrange payment with you manually (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy)
- WordPress site URLs and metadata submitted through the plugin (optional)
- Social media account connection details — Instagram and Facebook Page account ID, name, and OAuth tokens (stored encrypted)
- YouTube connection details, if you choose to connect it (channel ID, channel name, and OAuth tokens, stored encrypted)
- Google Drive connection details, if you choose to connect it (OAuth tokens, stored encrypted)
- Video URLs and scheduling metadata you create in the dashboard
- IP address and browser user-agent, logged automatically against actions you take while signed in — used for security and to investigate abuse or account issues, not for tracking or advertising
We do not keep a permanent copy of your video files. If you paste a URL, only that URL is stored. If you upload via Google Drive or the WordPress plugin, the file stays in your own Drive or WordPress Media Library — we stream it directly from there at publish time and delete it automatically 48 hours after it publishes.
Google user data.Meavr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs (Google Drive and YouTube) adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use this data to let you select your own Drive files and publish content to your own YouTube channel through Meavr — never to serve ads, never to train generalized AI/ML models, never sold to data brokers, never used to assess your creditworthiness, and never shared with any third party except the platform you're explicitly publishing to.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve Meavr services
- To process transactions and send related notices
- To send account-related communications (no marketing without consent)
- To publish content on your behalf to connected social platforms
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
3. Data Security
All social media OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3. We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) — only to publish your content
- Infrastructure providers (e.g. Amazon Web Services) — for server hosting
We don't yet use an automated third-party payment processor — paid plans are currently arranged manually by our team (see Section 1), so no billing data is shared with a payment gateway today. If we introduce one, we'll update this policy first.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
