Cookie Policy
Effective date: July 24, 2026
1. Our Approach to Cookies
Meavr uses cookies sparingly. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies of any kind. Most of what a typical site would store in a cookie — your session, your login, your theme preference — we instead store in your browser's local storage, which isn't sent to our servers on every request and isn't shared with any third party.
2. The One Cookie We Do Set
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sas_auth_flag | Strictly necessary, first-party | Lets our server know whether you're signed in, so protected dashboard pages can redirect you to log in before any page content loads. Holds no personal data — just a 0/1 flag. | Session / until you log out |
This cookie is required for the Service to function and is exempt from consent requirements under most cookie-law frameworks, since it's strictly necessary and not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
3. What We Store in Local Storage Instead
- Your login session tokens, so you stay signed in between visits
- Your light/dark theme preference
- Non-sensitive UI preferences (e.g. which dashboard view you last used)
Local storage stays on your device and in your browser — it's never automatically transmitted to us or to any third party the way a cookie is. You can clear it at any time from your browser's settings; doing so will simply sign you out.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising, analytics, or social-widget scripts on Meavr, so no third party sets cookies through our site. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
5. Managing Cookies
Because we only set one strictly-necessary cookie, there's nothing to opt out of beyond signing out. If you'd still like to block it, every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings — doing so for Meavr will prevent you from staying signed in.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we ever start using cookies for a new purpose — including analytics or advertising — we'll update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before doing so.
